ABOUT: Order My Steps Christian Dance Company is a dance studio in East Charlotte founded in 2010 by Patrice Commodore. Its curriculum combines dance training with community outreach projects, ministry events, and class devotion. OMS seeks to make dance accessible to anyone, despite their age or any other perceived form of adversity, whether social or economic. The studio offers Ignite Dance Fest (i.e. Ignite Summer Dance Fest, Ignite Fall Dance Fest), a series of free dance classes. Ignite Dance Fest is sponsored by Culture Blocks, a community partnership between Arts & Science Council, Charlotte Mecklenburg Library, and Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation to bring arts and cultural experiences closer to where residents live.
